Treating wounds is what we do best
Our wound care services include a diverse team of experts who offer comprehensive care for acute and chronic wounds on all parts of the body—including those caused by diabetes, vascular disease, surgery, radiation, trauma, and burns.

A focus on exceptional wound care

The wound care experts at Northwell Health hospitals recognize that it’s important to treat not just the wound, but the whole patient. Treating hard-to-heal wounds is what we do. This focus allows us to devote the time, thought and skill to each patient’s case that can result in improved healing. We have the experience needed to evaluate wounds and determine the most effective method of treatment at each center.

At our wound care locations, we treat acute and chronic wounds at all body sites—including the lower extremities, abdominal and sacral areas—caused by diabetes, vascular disease, surgery, radiation, trauma, burns and pressure.

As experts in wound care, our staff has advanced, ongoing training that includes the latest wound care technologies and medications. Our goal is not only to heal wounds but also to preserve limbs and prevent wound recurrence.

Our experienced wound care nursing staff coordinates care between specialties, refers patients to home care services, monitors progress toward healing and evaluates nutritional status, including diabetes management and prevention strategies.
