Dr. Pachilakis is board certified in Rehabilitation Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). She received her doctorate from Hofstra University in 2003. She has a faculty appointment at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Pachilakis provides counseling and consultation services for individuals with acquired brain injuries. She also conducts neuropsychological evaluations to better understand a person’s current cognitive strengths and weaknesses to inform care and provide suggestions that may be helpful in daily life. Dr. Pachilakis is also a supervisor in the neuropsychology track of the American Psychological Association (APA) accredited clinical psychology internship program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center-The Zucker Hillside Hospital. She has been with Transitions of Long Island since 2008.
