Managing Director, Strategic Ventures
As managing director of Northwell Ventures, Robert Scoskie is responsible for ambulatory strategic growth and physician alignment through clinical joint-ventures and strategic partnerships. He previously served as Northwell’s vice president of business development, where he led physician alignment activities.
Prior to joining Northwell, Mr. Scoskie was vice president of business development and operations for hospitals within the West Penn Allegheny Health System in Pittsburgh.
In addition to his role in integrated hospital systems, Mr. Scoskie has experience in the pharmaceutical sector. He led growth activities for Schering-Plough Corporation in Kenilworth, New Jersey, as the group leader of the West Coast and Desert Pacific regions. This role allowed him to engage with many large managed care organizations, hospital systems and physician-driven organizations.
Mr. Scoskie began his career as an administrative fellow at Monongalia Health System in Morgantown, West Virginia, where he served in a variety of business development, operations and administrative roles.
Mr. Scoskie holds a bachelor’s degree in genetics and human development, and a master’s in public administration from Cornell University.
