Rev. Bae joined the Northwell Health in 2014 and leads Chaplaincy Education. Graduating with a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology from Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Seoul, Korea, Jongmi immigrated to the United States and finished advanced study on pastoral counseling at Fordham University. She completed her CPE internship at Greenwich Hospital and residency at HealthCare Chaplaincy, New York City. She completed her supervisory training at HealthCare Chaplaincy with a placement at North Shore University Hospital on Long Island and the Veterans Administration Hospital in New York City. During her supervisory training, she spent three years working at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, New York focusing on palliative care. Before coming to Northwell Health, Rev. Bae served as Director of Training at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut.
She is an ordained minister with Presbyterian Church of USA, board certified chaplain with Association of Professional Chaplains and CPE Supervisor in the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc.
A Day in the Life of a Chaplain
