One-Year Traditional Rotating Internship at Plainview Hospital

One-Year Traditional Rotating Internship at Plainview Hospital

About us

Plainview Hospital offers a one-year internship in family practice medicine of osteopathic medicine physicians. This program represents an opportunity for osteopathic medical school graduates to become involved in medical education training, emphasizing the osteopathic concept of total health care.

The traditional rotating internship offers osteopathic medicine students comprehensive preliminary training in anesthesiology, emergency medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiology and other specialties.

The goal of this program is to provide residents with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in patient care. As part of NorthwellJ Health, Plainview Hospital provides clinical and educational experiences in virtually all aspects of medicine and surgery. Residents work one-on-one with attending preceptors that are steadfast in their commitment to individual mentoring and resident advancement.

The didactic program is designed to further our residents’ medical knowledge, but also places emphasis on board examination preparation, professional growth, leadership development, medical/legal/ethical aspects of medicine, and practice management.
