Interview process

Northwell Health invites about 40 candidates to visit our campuses and interview with the selection committee. The night preceding the interview, an optional social gathering takes place with the applicants and current residents of the program in NYC. This gives our applicants a chance to learn a little bit about the program in a relaxed, neutral environment. During the interview day, candidates are welcomed by the program director, Dr. Jules Winokur, and Department Chair, Dr. Ira Udell. Throughout the day, candidates meet with faculty and current residents to learn more about the training program.

Following the interview, current residents are available to answer any additional questions about the program and living in the area.

The residency selection process prohibits programs from contacting applicants directly following their interview. However, candidates can contact residents and staff to answer any remaining questions or concerns you may have.

Applicants invited for interview will be notified by email. For additional information on how to apply contact Jenny Carrabs.
