The institution and the department support several programs to assist residents in achieving enhanced professional goals, two of which are described below.
Along with a trainee’s cumulative experiences, we anticipate that close mentorship relationships with dedicated and experienced academic faculty will mature decision-making and execution, organization, administration, communication and professional networking skills necessary to become an effective leader in our discipline. With these principles in mind, we have implemented a longitudinal mentoring program which facilitates a collaborative, dynamic, and bi-directional mentor-mentee relationships- ones that help mentees achieve their professional and personal goals, whatever they may be.
