Nancy Palumbo, MD, is the chief of the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine and the Associate Program Director of the General Pediatric Residency program at Cohen Children’s Medical Center.

Dr. Palumbo is a graduate of the SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine. She completed her residency training at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, formerly known as Schneider Children’s Hospital, and served as chief resident. She also participated in the High Potential Physician program at the Center for Learning and Innovation, the corporate university of Northwell Health.

In addition to her clinical work as a pediatric hospitalist, Dr. Palumbo is an accomplished researcher. Her research papers have been widely published and cover a variety of topics ranging from quality metrics and patient safety to establishing a medical home from a global health prospective.

She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Association of Pediatric Program Directors and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
