Physician Leadership Institute

Physician Leadership Institute

Throughout the health system’s history we have been committed to:

  • Providing high quality clinical care.
  • Educating current and future healthcare professionals.
  • Advancing the field of medicine through research and other innovations.
  • Promoting education and awareness in the patient population.
  • Fostering growth and development in the communities we serve.

As the face of the healthcare industry continues to evolve, it is necessary for providers to be nimble and adaptive to the market. With advancements in medical technology, a shift to patient-centered, collaborative care, and new health care regulations, there is an overriding need for leaders who possess both clinical expertise and substantial leadership abilities.

Physicians will increasingly need to participate in the leadership decisions that are going to help sustain growth and success as our organization moves into the future.

In order to facilitate this, CLI launched the Physician Leadership Institute (PLI).  The Physician Leadership Institute offers a wide array of programs that collectively serve physician leaders at all levels of the organization. These programs aim to recruit, develop, and retain the talent necessary to achieve NSLIJ’s organizational goals by developing the necessary skill sets among physicians to allow them to prosper in high visibility leadership positions.
