Associate Vice President, Employee Wellness
A recognized leader in influencing and leading ground-breaking programs and initiatives that help companies create a cost-effective culture of health, Pat Flynn is currently the associate vice president for employee wellness at Northwell Health.
Prior to Northwell, she worked for 25 years at Johnson & Johnson, beginning as an administrator for the LIVE FOR LIFE employee wellness program and advancing throughout the worksite health and wellness industry, including director of strategic accounts for Johnson & Johnson’s Wellness and Prevention Business, where she led the Culture of Health Assessment process with employer customers.
Ms. Flynn has held various vice president and senior director roles in global clinical operations, behavioral health solutions, health and fitness services and other health and wellness business units. Throughout her tenure, she pursued new market segments, increased revenues, improved profit margins, cut costs and delivered health and wellness solutions to companies worldwide.
Ms. Flynn drove profitability for Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc.’s first service business, directing a field-based organization of 350 employees and 900 consultants at 120 corporate locations. During this time, customer satisfaction reached an all-time high at 98 percent. She also developed an audit tool that became an industry standard and she partnered with clinical teams to incorporate behavioral science into pharmaceutical clinical trials.
Ms. Flynn has received numerous awards, including Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) recognition and the Johnson & Johnson Volunteer Recognition Award. She holds a mini MBA from Rutgers University, a bachelor’s in psychology and completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
