Foot and ankle care

Members of the Lenox Hill Foot and Ankle Department provide comprehensive surgical and nonsurgical treatments for a wide range of conditions affecting the adult foot and ankle. Formally established in 1995, Dr. Stuart Katchis was appointed service chief at that time and continues in that role. Our foot and ankle services have continued to grow with the support of the current orthopedics department chairman, Elliott Hershman, MD.

  • Diabetic foot and ankle disorders

  • Hallux rigidus (Arthritis of the great toe)

Education & training

Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital

The Lenox Hill Hospital Department of Orthopedics offers a five-year ACGME-accredited training program in orthopedic surgery. The Department of Orthopedics has more than 60 full-time or part-time attending and voluntary orthopedic surgeons, and research scientists available to help train residents.
