NEW YORK, NY —
Many women facing breast cancer today are not aware of the full range of innovative options available to them for breast reconstruction. To help them feel whole again, Lenox Hill Hospital is hosting a free community event during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to empower women in their decision-making process.
The event will offer women considering a mastectomy or lumpectomy after breast cancer – or as a preventive measure – an opportunity to learn about the latest reconstruction techniques from a panel of surgical experts. Lenox Hill breast surgeons are at the forefront of innovation in breast reconstruction, performing 3D microsurgery, robotic mastectomy and reconstruction, lymphatic reconstruction, as well as pioneering work to enhance recovery after reconstructive surgery. Attendees will also have a chance to meet with former patients to hear their stories and see their results first-hand.
Real Women, Real Results, the free breast reconstruction education event will take place on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Bruno Lecture Hall – 100 East 77th St., New York, NY.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Hear from an expert panel of oncologic and reconstructive surgeons
- Get information about the different types of breast reconstruction procedures
- Learn what to consider when choosing a procedure that is right for you
- Meet with past patients and hear their stories
