Changing Times donates to Southside Hospital’s pediatrics department

For the fifth year in a row, the Changing Times restaurant chain has donated toys to Southside Hospital's pediatric patients and funds to the hospital's pediatrics program.

This year's donation was $5,220, bringing the group's total contributions over five years up to more than $14,000. These gifts, as well as the toys, come in part from customer holiday appreciation parties held at each of the restaurants' locations – East Northport, Farmingdale, and Bay Shore – which has either a $10 entrance fee or the donation of a toy.

"We are very grateful to Changing Times and their patrons for supporting Southside Hospital's pediatric program," said Donna Moravick, NP, executive director of Southside Hospital. "The children who will be in the hospital around the holidays will enjoy the wonderful toys that were given to us."

Southside's pediatrics department has a new, renovated, nautical-themed unit complete with private rooms with sleeper couches for parents and guardians as well as a dedicated pediatric isolation room.
