Kathryn Mirra, PhD, ABPP
Transitions of Long Island
Dr. Mirra is board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Suffolk University. She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. She conducts neuropsychological evaluations to better understand a person’s current cognitive strengths and weaknesses to inform care and to provide suggestions that may be helpful in daily life. She provides counseling services for individuals with acquired brain injuries and their families. Dr. Mirra has a faculty appointment through the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She is also a supervisor in the neuropsychology track of the American Psychological Association (APA) accredited clinical psychology internship program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center-Zucker Hillside Hospital. She has been with Transitions of Long Island since 2013.
