Our diagnostic radiologists use plain-film or conventional radiology to provide your physician with a view of what is going on inside your body. Conventional radiographs, or X-rays, are the most basic of imaging studies and are often the first imaging method used to assess problems involving the arms or legs, chest, abdomen and spine. Fluoroscopy is essentially a real-time X-ray in which a movie is produced of an organ or organs, often by introducing a liquid contrast media into the organ being evaluated.
