Compassionate care when it matters most
Humanism, mindfulness and reflection are priorities in our practice of geriatrics and palliative care. We are dedicated to supporting patients and their loved ones in the management of chronic and advanced illnesses.

Our mission

Our primary goal is to provide reliable, high-quality care to older adults and to all those with advanced illness. We aim to educate and provide resources for patients and families, and to conduct research that promotes improved care and quality of life for all.

Expert geriatricians and palliative medicine physicians work to promote longevity, minimize illness, reduce preventable hospitalizations and readmissions, and coordinate care of complex patients. For those with serious or life-threatening illnesses, we focus on prevention and treatment of pain and other symptoms.

About us

Over the past several decades, the need for accessible, effective geriatrics and palliative care has climbed as advances in medicine allow for more Americans to live longer with more complex health conditions.

Northwell Health's Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine is dedicated to meeting this need through exceptional clinical care, research and education. We provide high quality care, compassion and support for patients and families who are suffering from pain and other symptoms, and who are struggling with care coordination and other challenges associated with management of chronic and serious illnesses.
