Nasal alar repositioning

Nasal alar repositioning involves surgically moving the small cartilages (alar cartilages) supporting the outsides of the nostrils to restore normal nasal breathing through the nostril on the paralyzed side, which collapses on breathing in when the facial nerve is paralyzed.
