Intracranial Pressure Monitoring
If you or a loved one is suffering from a neurologic condition that requires urgent care, also known as a neurocritical incident, such as a traumatic brain injury, brain hemorrhage or stroke, the Neurocritical Care Center offers specialized staff that will monitor and treat your symptoms.
One important aspect of your care will likely be intracranial pressure monitoring. This is a procedure in which a device is placed inside your head. The device senses the pressure levels inside your skull and sends measurement data to a recording device so that staff can check your progress and be alerted if your brain pressure reaches a level that requires additional treatment.
