Retroperitoneal fibrosis

Retroperitoneal fibrosis, also known as Ormond’s disease, is characterized by a mass of fibrous tissue located towards the back of the abdomen near the kidneys. The mass may cause compression of the renal veins, impeding normal blood flow.
