Primary oxalosis

Oxalosis occurs after the kidneys fail in patients who have excess oxalate (a chemical in the body, which in elevated levels in the urine can cause serious problems). Hyperoxaluria is the condition of excess oxalate in the body. It can be inherited or an intestinal disease.  It must be diagnosed and treated quickly to avoid oxalosis and preserve long term kidney health.

Once oxalosis occurs, this can lead to the oxalate deposits accumulating in the blood vessels, bones and organs.
