Visitation policies & procedures

Visitors are welcome at Zucker Hillside Hospital. For the safety of our patients and visitors, there are a few things to keep in mind.  Some articles or items that are commonly used in the home may not be safe within our setting. For safety reasons, all items brought to the hospital for a patient by a visitor must first be checked by the nursing staff. Potentially dangerous items that can be used as weapons are not permitted anywhere on The Zucker Hillside Hospital campus.

In addition, we are committed to a healthy eating program. Some foods may interact with prescribed medications. For these reasons, food items may not be brought into the inpatient unit until discussed with a nurse or doctor.

To protect the confidentiality of patients, visitors are not permitted to utilize cameras, cell phones equipped with cameras, or other recording devices within the clinical areas of the hospital.

Patients can choose who can and cannot visit them while they are in our healthcare facility without regard to legal relationship, race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.
