Alfio Carroccio, MD is a nationally recognized vascular surgeon, specializing in complex endovascular aortic aneurysm repair and hybrid aortic reconstructions. He joined Lenox Hill Hospital in 2008 and established the integrated vascular surgery residency program. He became chief of vascular surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in 2012.

Dr. Carroccio received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he was granted membership to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He went on to complete a residency in general surgery and a research and a clinical fellowship in vascular surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

As a researcher and clinician, Dr. Carroccio has authored numerous articles for scholarly and professional publications, written book chapters and delivered presentations to professional audiences worldwide. He has served on many academic and professional society committees and has been the recipient of several honors. He has participated in many clinical trials investigating minimally invasive treatment of aortic disease and peripheral arterial disease.

Dr. Carroccio has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly, U.S. News and World Report and New York magazine.
