Our services are designed with kids in mind.  That means special child-friendly waiting rooms and playrooms, and patient rooms with space for Mom and Dad. Our specially trained staff members understand the unique needs of children.

Education & training

The Zucker School of Medicine Pediatric Residency Program at Staten Island University Hospital enables residents to pursue their passion in pediatrics while developing outstanding clinical, academic and leadership skills. We strive to train residents to become excellent pediatricians. The curriculum and goals of the program are based on the recommended Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Competencies and newly developed pediatric milestones.

Residency in Pediatrics at Staten Island University Hospital

The pediatric residency program at Staten Island University Hospital's educational experiences are designed to develop the competencies and skills needed to practice high quality community pediatrics. Pediatric residents will also develop sufficient familiarity with the various pediatric subspecialties to participate as effective and productive team members in the care of chronic and complex pediatric conditions.
