Nerve Disorders Center at Lenox Hill Hospital
New York, New York 10075
The Nerve Disorders Center at Lenox Hill Hospital is composed of a multidisciplinary team of nerve disorder experts including physicians, nurse practitioners, psychological care providers and rehabilitation professionals.
There are over 100 disorders that affect the nerves, from Bell’s palsy to Lou Gehrig’s disease, and every patient is different. That’s why our goal is to ensure each and every patient receives the care plan best suited to their needs.
Our team provides complete diagnostic evaluations including MRIs, appropriate blood tests, clinical assessments supplemented by neurophysiologic testing and, occasionally, nerve or muscle biopsies or spinal taps. When needed, we use the resources of Northwell Health – New York state’s largest health system – to bring in other specialists such as ear, nose and throat physicians to help evaluate treatment for neurological speech disorders.
In addition, many of our expert clinicians work in close collaboration with the dedicated professionals at the Neuropathy Association and the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, and regularly attend patient support meetings of the Long Island Neuropathy Support Group at Northwell Health.
The Nerve Disorders Center at Lenox Hill Hospital treats a number of nerve disorders and conditions, including:

We also have the ability to perform nerve conduction studies and electromyography (EMG), a diagnostic procedure for assessing muscle and nerve cell health, on children of all ages when necessary.
