Lenox Hill Human Reproduction is a part of Northwell Health’s Center for Human Reproduction. The Center for Human Reproduction has a history dating back to 1976. Since its inception, the center has expanded its services beyond traditional reproductive therapies to help patients preserve their fertility, reduce the incidence of genetic disease in families and overcome even the most challenging fertility cases.

With offices in New York, Queens, Suffolk and Nassau counties, the Center for Human Reproduction and Lenox Hill Human Reproduction strive to serve patients where they live and work and help build healthy families.

Clinical expertise

Traditional assisted reproductive technologies like in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI) are offered at Lenox Hill Human Reproduction, as well as more innovative services such as fertility preservation/egg freezing, preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD)/ preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) for screening of embryos for genetic disease and chromosomal abnormalities and a donor egg program.

The Lenox Hill Human Reproduction team is led by Dr. Tomer Singer. Dr. Singer is the director of the egg freezing program at the Center for Human Reproduction and the residency program director at the Lenox Hill Hospital Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His areas of expertise include egg freezing, IVF, egg donation and fertility preservation for cancer patients. He is skilled in minimally invasive surgeries, including hysteroscopies and laparoscopies for a variety of OB-GYN conditions. Dr. Singer is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopsists (AAGL).

Financial options & guidance

The Lenox Hill Human Reproduction team understands that financial concerns about fertility treatment can add stress to the challenge of achieving parenthood. There are several financial options available, and the team is available to help patients choose the one that is best for their situation.
The Attain IVF Programs offered are the equivalent of taking IVF insurance. These programs allow patients to increase their chance of having a successful pregnancy by providing multiple IVF cycles for a single, 30-40 percent discounted fee. Depending on the program chosen, patients may receive a refund of up to 70 percent if their care does not result in a baby.
Also, Lenox Hill Human Reproduction has been selected by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) to participate in the Infertility Demonstration Program, due to the department’s superior pregnancy success rates and strict quality standards. This grant provides financial support to privately insured residents of New York whose insurance coverage for IVF is exhausted or inadequate. Patients must meet criteria set in place by the NYSDOH.
For more information, please call (212) 324-2229 (BABY) and ask to speak with a financial counselor.

Patient testimonials

Education & training

The fertility experts participate in the Lenox Hill Hospital residency program in obstetrics and gynecology, which consists of a four-year period of structured learning and progressive experience. The resident gains experience by providing supervised care to all patients, both ambulatory and hospitalized. The physicians stay up-to-date on the latest developments in assisted reproductive technologies, and use this expertise to educate residents during the outpatient clinic in endocrinology/infertility

Research & clinical trials

Since the inception of the Center for Human Reproduction, it has consistently been among the top tier of institutions engaged in the study of reproductive science. Infertility research performed by the fertility specialists and scientists has made significant contributions to understanding some of the barriers to successful conception.
The physicians and scientists regularly participate in, and present at, major professional conferences, including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the European Society of Human Reproduction (ESHRE) and the World Congress on IVF, ART and Genetics.
