Mark B. Eisenberg, MD, joined Northwell Health in 2005 after nine years in private practice. As chief of neurosurgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and director of the Skull Base Center, which is part of the Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery, he brings more than 20 years of surgical experience in his field.
Dr. Eisenberg is one of only a few fellowship-trained skull base surgeons in the New York area. His area of expertise is neurosurgical diseases, with a special focus on robotic and minimally invasive approaches to skull base and spinal surgery, as well as the surgical treatment and management of degenerative spine disorders.

He is also a dedicated member of many notable organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgery, AANS/CNS joint section of tumors and North American Skull Base Society.
Dr. Eisenberg graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his residency training in neurosurgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Following residency, he completed a skull base surgery fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
