Hamartoma Endocrine Disturbances

Hamartoma Endocrine Disturbances

Hypothalamic Hamartoma (HH) is a malformation in the brain. It is usually diagnosed at birth or in childhood. Associated with HH can be endocrine or hormonal disturbances. They may result in bedwetting, no thirst and weight gain even with an urge to eat.

Treatments for HH and endocrine disturbances include medications that deal with the symptoms. In some cases, surgical options may be appropriate.
