The talk will focus on the definition of memory loss, cognitive decline and dementia. We willoutline the main differences between the memory changes of "normal"aging and dementia, in particular Alzheimer's disease. We will briefly touchon the current pathophysiology of Alzheimer disease. Finally, we'll review thecurrent approach to the pharmacological management of Alzheimer's disease andthe ongoing experiemental trials.Lecturer: Dr. Luca Giliberto, PhD. - Attending Neurologist, Northwell Health
