Do you take care of patients who are at the end of their lives?
Then maybe you have questions about palliative nursing care, pain and symptom management, ethical issues or communicating with the patient and family. If you’d like to better understand what happens in the patient’s final days and hours, register for our two day End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) at Lenox Hill Hospital on April 11 and 12, 2018. ELNEC is a national program designed to enhance palliative care in nursing.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The End of Life Education Consortium (ELNEC) is a national program administered by the City of Hope and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing designed to enhance palliative care in nursing. The ELNEC Project was originally funded by a grant from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation with additional support from funding organizations (Aetna Foundation ArchstoneFoundation, California Healthcare Foundation, National Cancer Institute, Oncology Nursing Foundation, Open Society Institute and Department of Veterans Affairs). Northwell Health - Institute for Nursing is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the New Jersey State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Provider # TBD
To earn a contact hour certificate, participants must stay for the entire presentation, complete and submit an evaluation form.

Temperatures at the conference venue may fluctuate. For your comfort, we suggest bringing a sweater or jacket. The dress code is business casual: no jeans, sneakers, flip flops, or sweat suits.
TARGET AUDIENCE: Nurses and social workers, including advanced practice nurses and other healthcare providers, in a variety of practice settings interested in learning about the care and treatment of this population.
