Support throughout your journey
A cancer diagnosis brings a variety of challenges—from managing side effects to practical and emotional issues. At Northwell Health Cancer Institute, we offer a full range of integrated support services and resources to assist you and your caregivers throughout your cancer care.
Patient navigation—Benefit from a trained professional who serves as the single point of contact for you and your family as you focus on your health, reducing any barriers along the way and helping you access the care and resources you need.
Support groups—Join a cancer support group to cope with diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment issues. Connect with others who are going through the same experience and gain the support to move beyond a diagnosis and face the challenges head on.
Nutrition—Receive expert nutritional guidance to optimize your diet before, during and after treatment. Northwell Health Cancer Institute dietitians offer nutrition assessments and counseling to you and your family.
Social work—As part of your multidisciplinary care team, your social worker can help identify resources for counseling, transportation, financial assistance, stress management, patient education, support groups and more.
Cancer rehabilitation—Increase your strength and energy to participate in daily activities that are important to you with a range of oncology rehabilitation therapies. These include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology and manual therapy.
