As vice president of strategic alliances, Mark Schiffer, MD, helps Northwell Health explore new partnerships and affiliations with other health care providers in the New York area and beyond.
Previously, Dr. Schiffer was vice chair of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and vice president for community and physician relations at Lenox Hill Hospital. A member of the Lenox Hill medical staff since 1983, Dr. Schiffer was a founding partner of Park East Cardiovascular, a clinical cardiology practice serving the Upper East Side for more than 25 years.
Dr. Schiffer is also an assistant professor of cardiology at the Zucker School of Medicine, a member and immediate past president of the Lenox Hill Hospital Medical Board and a member of the Northwell Health Physician Partners Board of Governors. His professional memberships include the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association and New York County Medical Society, a chapter within the Medical Society of the State of New York.
Dr. Schiffer completed a residency in internal medicine and cardiology fellowship training at Lenox Hill. He earned a bachelor’s and his medical degree at Northwestern University. He holds a certificate in healthcare delivery management from the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, and he graduated from the General Management Program of Harvard Business School in 2016.
