Center for Emergency Medical Services
Mr. Schwalberg supervises operations at Northwell’s Center for Emergency Medical Services, one of the largest hospital-based emergency medical services operations in the East, with more than 100 EMS vehicles and approximately 500 paramedics and emergency medical personnel. He is responsible for ambulance operations, budget, strategic planning and business development.
Mr. Schwalberg began his career with Northwell Health in 1996 as an emergency medical technician-paramedic/dispatcher. He later served as communications coordinator; operations supervisor in the communications and support division; and operations manager, overseeing support operations and the New York City 911 Division.
Prior to joining Northwell Health, Mr. Schwalberg was employed by Sperry/Unisys Corporation in plant protection services. Before that, he was a dispatcher for the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department.
Mr. Schwalberg is on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, National Fire Protection Association, the Emergency Medical Dispatchers Association and the Roslyn Rescue Fire Department.
