Wounded Vet Smiles for Christmas

This Christmas was the first in 10 years that Dustin Kirby could smile without pain, and with a full set of teeth. Christmas has been a hard time for the U.S. Navy veteran. He was shot in the face by a sniper in Iraq on Christmas Day 2006. That all changed thanks to Dr. David Hirsch, reconstruction director for maxillofacial surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital. His team performed two surgeries, pro bono, this year to ease Dustin's decade-long pain and give him back his smile.
