Staten Island hospital reflects on Sandy lessons

As the flood waters rose, the staff at Staten Island University Hospital held their ground in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. A half mile into the flood zone, the two hospitals faced the possibility of flooding and losing power in the storm surge. NBC 4 looks back to the incredible efforts made by the staff five years ago to keep their hospital’s open during and after the storm; some losing everything they had in the process.
