Saving Sight For 30 Years

Helping people see again through cornea donation has been the goal of the Lion’s Eye Bank for Long Island for the past 30 years. 2017 marks the organization’s 31st anniversary of restoring sight to people with corneal blindness. The Eye Bank, which is part of Northwell Health and located at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream hospital, matches recipients with donated eye tissue for transplantation. Through this work the Eye Bank has changed peoples’ lives giving them the ability to see.
