Recommended Step Count Stepped Up

Is it enough to take 10,000 steps a day? A recent study on postal workers suggests that we should strive for 15,000 steps in order to maintain a healthy fitness level. Dr. Carl Reimers, Associate Chairman of Cardiovascular Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, says there are problems with the study. But, he adds the biggest takeaway is that those with a sedentary lifestyle are much more likely to develop cardiovascular problems than those who keep active.
