New Innovative Treatment for Parkinson's Disease

Former Rockville Centre Police Commissioner was one of the first patients on Long Island to undergo an endoscopic procedure at North Shore University Hospital. It involves placing a stomach tube that is connected to an external pump which delivers the FDA-approved medication Duopa, delivered continuously for up to 16 hours. This allows for patients with advance Parkinson's, to have better control of medication delivery in a sustained manner.
