Former NYPD officer Daniel Rodriguez, a first responder on September 11, 2001 who became a symbol of New York City’s resilience for his stirring rendition of “God Bless America” at memorial events and Yankee Stadium, was diagnosed with PTSD in the last year. Here Mr. Rodriguez talks about seeking treatment through Northwell Health’s Queens World Trade Center Health Program. He also spoke at Thursday’s Northwell observance marking the 15th anniversary of the World Trade Center attack. His message was clear: First responders are still suffering and in need of help.
