Can micro naps replace a full night’s sleep?

Some people are forgoing a good night’s rest for brief naps throughout the day. The goal of micro napping is to save time, increase productivity and reap the benefits of deep rest in small increments. But, Dr. Keri Peterson, an internist at Lenox Hill Hospital, warns that this could be just another form of sleep deprivation. “Chronic sleep deprivation can cause memory problems, diabetes and obesity,” she explains.
