Storm Prompts North Shore-LIJ to Close Most Outpatient Practices, Administrative Offices on Long Island Friday

              With about a foot of snow falling on parts of Long Island Thursday night and this morning, the North Shore-LIJ Health System closed many of its outpatient facilities and administrative offices today in Nassau and Suffolk counties.  

The health system's ambulatory and administrative offices in Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island were scheduled to open at 11 a.m. today. All North Shore-LIJ hospitals across the metropolitan area were fully operational throughout the storm and experienced no power outages or other major issues.
 
While many of North Shore-LIJ's Long Island-based outpatient facilities are closed today, the following were scheduled to open today at 11 a.m.:
-- North Shore-LIJ's Kidney Dialysis Center in Great Neck, NY;
-- The health system's Diagnostic Imaging Centers in Lake Success, Islip, Great Neck, Glen Cove and Syosset, NY;
-- North Shore-LIJ Laboratories in Lake Success, NY;
-- Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation Services (STARS) at 1554 Northern Blvd., Manhasset, NY; 66 Powerhouse Road, Roslyn Heights, NY; 801 Merrick Road, East Meadow, NY; and 200 Boundary Ave., North Massapequa.
-- North Shore-LIJ Ophthalmology at 600 Northern Blvd., Great Neck, NY;
-- North Shore-LIJ's Obstetrics/Gynecology practice at 2330 Union Blvd., Islip, NY
-- North Shore-LIJ's Smith Institute for Urology, Lake success, NY;
-- North Shore-LIJ's Cardiology practice at 225 CommunityDrive, Great Neck, NY; and
-- North Shore-LIJ Colorectal Surgery practice at 900 Northern Blvd., Great Neck, NY.
 
Before heading out, all patients should call their individual provider/practice to confirm the facility is open.
