Staten Island University Hospital Earns 11th Consecutive Consumer Choice Award

Staten Island University Hospital earns the National Research Corporation's 2016/2017 Consumer Choice Award.

The National Research Corporation recently announced Staten Island University Hospital, a member of Northwell Health, winner of a 2016/2017 Consumer Choice Award. The award represents the voice of 300,000 healthcare consumers across the United States who chose hospitals in their locales  having the highest quality and image. SIUH has achieved this honor 16 times with 11 consecutive wins.

“Nothing could be more rewarding for SIUH’s hard-working healthcare team than Staten Islanders recognizing us as their preferred hospital. It’s a validation of our mission ‘to serve our community with the highest quality healthcare’ and those dedicated to bringing it to life,” said Donna Proske, SIUH executive director.

“We are honored to congratulate this year’s winners on a job well done,” said Brian Wynne, Market Insights General Manager at National Research.

Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company’s Market Insights survey, the largest online consumer healthcare survey in the country. Hospitals named by consumers are analyzed and ranked based on Core Based Statistical Areas defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, with winning facilities being ranked the highest.
