Phelps Hospital Rededicates WWII Memorial on Veterans Day

World War II veteran Armando “Chick” Galella, 95, of Sleepy Hollow, spoke at the Phelps Hospital Veterans Day event.

Phelps Hospital rededicated its World War II memorial in memory of the North Tarrytown men who gave their lives in service of their country before a crowd of about 200 in a moving Veterans Day event.

Phelps President & CEO, Daniel Blum, and Armando “Chick” Galella, a 95-year-old World War II veteran and Sleepy Hollow resident, gave inspiring remarks. The plaque was originally dedicated 60 years ago.
