Northwell Health was recognized for its excellence in website design and digital communications by Strategic Healthcare, an organization noted for its annual eHealth Leadership Awards program nationwide.
This year’s competition included close to 1,000 entries in 15 health care communications areas. Northwell Health won three marketing awards, which were announced at the organization’s recent 20th Healthcare Internet Conference in Las Vegas. Northwell was distinguished in these marketing areas:
- Platinum Award for Best Intranet Business/Process Improvement Applications or Products
- Silver Award for Best Interactive Business/Process Improvement Applications or Products (Brand Center)
- Silver Award for Best Patient Access and Convenience Healthcare System (Website)
“This recognition acknowledges the resounding success of our 2016 rebranding campaign, which united our health system with a singular focus while reaffirming our commitment to world-class patient care,” said Ramon Soto, Northwell Health’s chief marketing and communications officer. “Northwell Health’s name and identity change represented a unique marketing challenge. We are thrilled that our excellence in digital media in health care, along with our marketing partner Monigle Associates, has been confirmed by the eHealthcare Leadership Awards.”
The Platinum Award for Best Intranet Business acknowledged the revamped digital tool launched by Northwell for its 61,000 employees to access internal communications, trending news, media stories, video messages from top leaders, human resource channels, education programs, research and a directory of the workforce.
The Silver Award for Best Interactive Business recognized the creation of the Northwell Health Brand Center, which provides comprehensive resources for the health system’s rebranding initiative. Geared for Northwell’s departments, service lines and vendors, the creative interactive digital site includes elements such as logos, PowerPoint templates and brand practices and guidelines.
Northwell’s website won the Silver Award for Patient Access and Convenience in a Healthcare System. The website was distinguished for an array of tools that empower patients to manage their health care journey online. The site was built around consumers’ top tasks that they look to accomplish on the website, including the ability to request an appointment, pay a bill, check wait times in emergency departments or accessing the patient portal.
