Northwell Health Walk May 21 at Jones Beach to Support Women, Children Health Initiatives

Enthusiastic walkers join together to raise funds for health care programs at last year’s Jones Beach Northwell Health Walk.

More than 6,500 people will hit the Jones Beach Boardwalk on Sunday, May 21 to take part in the annual Northwell Health Walk, which will support the health of women and children throughout the region.

All funds raised at the 5K Jones Beach walk will benefit programs at The Katz Institute for Women’s Health and Cohen Children’s Medical Center.

Pre-register online at The day of registration begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. with opening ceremonies for the walk starting at 9:45 a.m. The walk kicks-off at 10 a.m. Complimentary parking will be provided at Jones Beach State Park’s Field 4.

Event highlights will include music, entertainment, fun interactive health-related booths and kids’ activities and games. Vendors and exhibitors will also be present to share valuable health and wellness information through demonstrations, screenings and interactive educational games.

This year’s Northwell Walk has been expanded to include three new locations: Riverhead, covering the East End of Long Island, Staten Island and Westchester.  Approximately 10,000 walkers are expected to participate in the regional event.
