New Northwell Signage Unveiled at Jones Beach Theater

Adam Citron, GM, Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater; Andy Peikon, Sr. VP, Venue Sales, Live Nation; Winnie Mack, Sr. VP, Health System Operations, Northwell Health; Northwell President & CEO Michael Dowling; and Wayne R. Horsley, Long Island Regional Director, NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

Representatives from Northwell Health, Live Nation and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation recently unveiled the new sponsor signage at Jones Beach Theater, which will now be exclusively known as “Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater.”

The historic, 65-year-old venue is a 14,500-seat amphitheater operated by Live Nation for the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Earlier this year, Northwell signed a multi-year agreement with Live Nation to become the exclusive, title sponsor of Jones Beach Theater. Northwell signage, posters, graphics and banners are displayed prominently throughout the iconic venue, parking area and on the theater’s directional signage.

Northwell will also serve as the official health care partner of Jones Beach Theater. Once the concert season kicks off this week, Northwell will offer health screenings, wellness tips and other promotions that encourage healthy living.

The tremendous lineup of concerts this summer includes: Dave Matthews, Train, Florida Georgia Line, Third Eye Blind, Lady Antebellum, Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper, Counting Crows & MatchBox 20, Foreigner and Cheap Trick, Chicago and the Doobie Brothers, and Brad Paisley.  For a full list of concerts at Northwell Health Jones Beach Theater, visit the Live Nation website.

Originally known as Jones Beach Marine Theater, the amphitheater was designed to specifications provided by Robert Moses. From its opening in 1952 until 1981, the theater primarily hosted musical productions. The primary focus of the venue then changed to concerts. During the 1990s, the theater underwent two expansions that increased seating from 8,200 to 11,200 and then to its current capacity of more than 14,000.

Among those gathering to get a look at the new Northwell signage and tour the facility were: Michael Dowling, president and CEO of Northwell Health; Winnie Mack, senior vice president and deputy chief operating officer at Northwell; Andy Peikon, senior vice president of venue sales at Live Nation; Rob Scolaro, Live Nation’s regional vice president of venue sales; Adam Citron, the Theater’s general manager; Wayne R. Horsley, Long Island regional director, state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation; and Edward Fraser, Northwell’s vice president of community relations.
