Dolan Family Health Center Gets Mobile HIV Testing Van

This Northwell Health mobile testing van will be used to do free, confidential HIV testing in the greater Huntington area.

The Dolan Family Health Center has received a mobile testing van that will be used to do free, confidential HIV testing in the Huntington and Greenlawn area.

The van was purchased with funding from Northwell Health’s Ryan White Part C grant, which pays for both the van itself and two testing and counseling personnel who will staff the mobile unit. HIV testing performed by the van can provide results within a half hour.

“We are very appreciative of receiving this van, which will greatly help members of our community to get HIV testing and counseling,” said Joseph Volavka, PT, senior administrative director of the Dolan Family Health Center.

The van was dedicated on World AIDS Day. For more information about the Dolan Family Health Center, call 631-425-5250.
