Northwell Shuffles Top Execs
By: Claude Solnik
Northwell Health has shuffled management, shifting an executive who had helped oversee the system’s western region including Manhattan to the eastern region.
Kevin Beiner, formerly deputy regional executive director of the health system’s western region, has been named senior vice president and deputy regional executive director of the eastern region.
That region includes Glen Cove Hospital, Huntington Hospital, Peconic Bay Medical Center, Plainview Hospital, Syosset Hospital and Southside Hospital.
He reports to Winnie Mack, a registered nurse who is senior vice president and executive director of the eastern region.
Northwell also appointed Dr. Jay Enden, the long-time medical director of Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, as medical director of the eastern region.
Dr. Robert Scanlon, previously associate chief medical officer at Southside Hospital, will succeed Dr. Enden as medical director at Southside.
The system also named Lenny Nartowicz, previously associate executive director of finance at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, as executive director of The Long Island Home, which operates South Oaks Hospital and Broadlawn Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Amityville.
Nortowicz succeeds Patricia Porter, who plans to retire later this year.
