MASSAPEQUA, NY – The North Shore-LIJ Health System announced today that its Massapequa Internal Medicine, Nassau Suffolk Family Medicine in West Babylon, Specialty Medical Center at Rego Park and Islip Medicine practices have been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for their high-quality diabetes care.
These practices garnered recognition from the NCQA Diabetes Recognition Program for showing their strength in helping patients control their hemoglobin A1c, blood pressure and LDL cholesterol. The NCQA Diabetes Recognition Program aims to identify clinicians who provide high-quality care to patients with diabetes according to the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS). This involves performing certain screenings on patients and other standards of patient care.
Massapequa Internal Medicine, at 850 Hicksville Rd in Seaford, features these physicians who have met these NCQA standards: Robert Alexander, DO; Stephen Cusumano, MD; Geri DiGiovana, MD; Ira Rosenblum, DO; Dominic Posillico, MD; Robert Fogel, MD; and Michael Carvo, DO. The Specialty Medical Center at Rego Park, 95-25 Queens Blvd., features NCQA-recognized physicians Sunil Patel, MD; Esther Kissin, MD; Michele Belding, MD; and Rajpal Chopra, MD. Islip Medicine, 260 Main St., has physicians Elaine Schaefer, DO; and Christine O’Donoghue-Kitt, MD; who were recognized by the NCQA. The physicians recognized by the NCQA at Nassau Suffolk Family Medicine located at 120 Route 109 in West Babylon are Ani Bodoutchian, MD, and Saloni Anand, MD.
