GARDEN CITY, NY – The North Shore-LIJ Health System announced today that North Shore-LIJ Imaging at Garden City is now open and accepting patients.

With over 10,000 square feet of completely renovated space, this state-of-the-art facility is conveniently located at 711 Stewart Avenue and offers a full range of imaging services utilizing the most advanced imaging techniques available; 3.0T MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), low-dose CT (computed tomography), ultrasound, digital X-ray and image-guided procedures and biopsies.  In addition, North Shore-LIJ Imaging at Garden City offers a full service breast imaging program; digital mammograms – including 3D mammography – provided as a complement to the standard mammogram, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and breast biopsies and procedures (MRI-guided, ultrasound-guided and stereotactic).

North Shore-LIJ Imaging is the first radiology practice in New York State, and seventh in the nation, to be designated by the American College of Radiologists (ACR) as Diagnostic Centers of Excellence. This is in addition to the current distinction by the ACR as Breast Care Centers of Excellence. These practices are also accredited by the Joint Commission and feature the largest group of subspecialized, fellowship-trained radiologists on Long Island.
