She has a bachelor of science degree and a master’s degree in public administration from Long Island University at CW Post.
As the new executive director of Southside, Ms. Moravick is responsible for daily operations at the hospital and works with its management team to enhance clinical and patient services. Previously, she was the vice president of cardiovascular services for North Shore-LIJ, responsible for managing cardiovascular and thoracic surgery across the health system. She was instrumental in extending North Shore-LIJ’s cardiac surgery program to Southside in February 2011. She joined North Shore University Hospital in 1981 as a staff nurse in the surgical intensive care unit. She began working in cardiac services in 1993 as a nurse clinician for cardiac surgery. She has a master’s degree in nursing from Stony Brook University and a master’s degree in business administration from Hofstra University.
Southside’s new associate executive director of patient care services, Ms. Farrell also has a background in cardiovascular services. She served previously as senior administrative director of patient care services and clinical practice coordinator for non-invasive cardiology services at Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY, and a master’s degree in nursing administration and informatics from Molloy College.
